Product Description
Product Details:
1. Product Overview

The YJV23 (International Code: N2XB2Y) is a specialized low-voltage armored cable designed for harsh environmental conditions.

Unlike the standard YJV22 (which uses a soft PVC sheath), the YJV23 utilizes a high-density Polyethylene (PE) outer sheath. This "St-3" generic PE material provides an impermeable barrier against moisture, making it the preferred choice for projects in wetlands, high-water-table areas, or rough terrain where abrasion resistance is critical.

2. Construction Breakdown (Model: YJV23)
  • Conductor: Class 2 Stranded Plain Annealed Copper (Cu).

  • Insulation (YJ): Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) for high thermal stability.

  • Inner Bedding (V): Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) layer to cushion the core from the armor.

  • Armor (2): Double Galvanized Steel Tape (DSTA) for crush protection.

  • Outer Sheath (3): Polyethylene (PE) - Black. Hard, smooth, and waterproof.

3. Key Advantages of YJV23 (PE Sheath)
  • Excellent Water Resistance: PE has a much lower water permeability rate than PVC, ensuring the cable core remains dry even in submerged or damp soil conditions.

  • High Mechanical Strength: The PE jacket is harder and more rigid, offering superior protection against abrasion, dragging, and sharp stones during installation.

  • Chemical Stability: Resistant to inorganic salts, acids, and alkalis often found in industrial soil.

  • Cold Resistance: PE maintains its properties better in low-temperature environments compared to standard PVC.

4. Applications
  • Wet Environments: Swamps, riverbanks, or areas with seasonal flooding.

  • Direct Burial: Suitable for rocky or uneven ground where the outer skin needs to resist scratching.

  • Utility & Grid: Long-distance power transmission where maintenance access is difficult.

6. Important Purchasing Note
  • Rigidity: Please note that YJV23 (PE Sheath) is stiffer and harder to bend than YJV22 (PVC Sheath). It requires larger bending radii during installation.

  • Flammability: Standard PE material is NOT flame retardant. If your project requires fire resistance (IEC 60332), please specify "Flame Retardant PE" or choose our YJV22 model.

7. Why Choose Our YJV23?
  • True Material: We use virgin polyethylene granules for the sheath, ensuring no cracking or degradation over time.

  • Precision Manufacturing: Our XLPE insulation is dry-cured to prevent treeing and ensure longevity.

  • Secure Armoring: The steel tape is applied with precise overlap to ensure 100% coverage even when the cable is bent.
